Sandstone Peak Sightseeing

Rock Hike

On this hike over many small and winding paths, you visit some of the most impressive rocks in Saxon Switzerland. Sandstone formations with names like "locomotive", "beekeeper" or the "lamb", let you discover the creativity that the climbing community has shown here for over a hundred years when naming their peaks.

This hike is a real one of the true highlights and leads you along small paths to the impressive rock pillars, which invite you to marvel and look up. Sandstone summit sightseeing with guaranteed brilliant souvenir photos!

Start and end point is the Gamrig, a mighty rock with a large summit area, which we will climb at the end to enjoy the wonderful view.

TIMETABLE

HALF DAY TOUR 09.00 All participants find themselves punctually on the agreed date Meeting point (see map). Get to know and visit the Gamrig Cave. 09.30 We make our way towards the Bastei area (Rathen) 13.30 Return to the Gamrig and climb the summit plateau. 14.00 Farewell with a magnificent view and home.
