The Tour

Are you on vacation in Gran Canaria and want to see more of the island? Discover the unknown side of Gran Canaria? Then you’re in the right place! The island has so much to offer, and we’ll show you its unique spots, away from the mass tourism.

Would you like to dive into the history of the Canary Island’s indigenous people? Follow us to the heart of the island and explore the most historically significant towns. Gran Canaria also offers remote, wild beaches that are only accessible by foot. Or how about a trip to the green forests in the northwest, nourished year-round by the trade winds?

We are well connected with the local community and invite you to experience the authentic Gran Canaria. On a tour with us, you can enjoy local cuisine and experience the native culture, something most tourists never get to see.

Example Tours

We’ll put together a wonderful day trip just for you, tailored exactly to your wishes. Here are a few of our top tours to spark your excitement and inspire you! Too long, too short, too exhausting? Each of these tours is also available in shorter or longer versions. Just let us know!

THREE PEAKS TOUR AT ROQUE NUBLO

Access: approx. 1 hour (from Las Palmas)

Hiking: 6–8 hours (incl. breaks)

Elevation gain/loss: approx. 900↑ / 900↓

Distance: 13 km
Lunch: Lunchbox (included)

We start in the pine forest at Llanos de La Pez (1.660m), near the famous mountain village of Tejeda (considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain according to National Geographic). From there, we follow several smaller hiking trails that lead us up to Pico de Las Nieves (1,949 m). After a short break with spectacular views, we continue towards Montañón (1,731 m), which we pass on our way to Roque Nublo.

From here, we descend a little more steeply along a mountain path and then climb back up toward Roque Nublo, reaching the plateau (1,748 m) after about a 30-minute ascent from the national park entrance.

In the shade of the mighty monolith, we enjoy our lunch. Depending on fitness level and weather conditions, we may explore a bit deeper into Roque Nublo National Park on the way down and hike along the reservoir Presa de Los Hornos before returning to our starting point.

Note: This tour can also be done with a later afternoon start as a sunset tour, offering a spectacular sunset high above the island.

TAMADABA AND THE AGAETE VALLEY

Access: approx. 30min (from Las Palmas)

Hiking: 6–8 hours (incl. breaks)

Elevation gain/loss: approx. 1200↑ / 1200

Distance: 16km
Lunch:
Picnic (included)

In the northwest of the island lies Agaete. From here we start our ascent to Tamadaba early in the morning. The famous pine forest, high above the island, is a true natural wonder and invites us to take a well-deserved break with a picnic and explore the surrounding area. Depending on time and energy, we may also climb to the highest point of the Tamadaba Plateau and enjoy the views toward Artenara.

On our way back we visit the Agaete Valley and stop at one of the very few coffee plantations in Europe—of course with an extensive tasting! In a friendly, family atmosphere, Santi and his team explain the process of coffee cultivation, and we even have the opportunity to roast the coffee ourselves.

GUAYADEQUE — THE HISTORY OF THE ANCIENT CANARIANS

Access: approx. 35min (from Las Palmas)

Hiking: 3–4 hours

Elevation gain/loss: approx. 642↑ / 0

Distance: 8km
Lunch: Canarian Tapas (€15 p.P not included)

Only about half an hour from Las Palmas, you can immerse yourself in the history of the Canary Islands’ indigenous people. We start our hike at the Guayadeque Museum (visit included), just below the village of Agüimes. The museum (note: closed on Mondays) offers a very informative exhibition about the history of the Guayadeque Valley and provides plenty of inspiration and conversation topics for the next 3.5 hours as we hike through this spectacular valley.

At the famous Cave Restaurant "Tagoror", a delicious lunch with Canarian tapas (included) awaits us. Before heading back by car, it’s worth taking a short walk around the restaurant to admire the remarkable cave dwellings carved high into the cliffs.
